online woes

its hard to live without a computer! i havent really posted in ages. the place where i use the computer is so noisy i cant think - forget post. work is from 'wakeup' to 'go to bed' time. cant afford a comp - so i just got to wait till santa delivers.

just a thought, as we go along life we discover strange facts about ourselves which often come as a surprise. i love listening to my music loud. yet anything else is noise. i cant bear it anymore. old age? as we get older our likes, more imp'ly our dislikes get more and more pronounced. something that i laughed at when in my teens. i got irritated with in my late teens and early twenties. i go to great lengths to actively avoid now. i walked out of two shops yesterday bcz they were playing loud rap or someone was laughing loudly. but what i am most intolerant of, is intolerance. paradox?

  1. I don't think you had better blame old age - many people mellow out as they get older because they gain perspective on what is and what is not important.

If you have children, you will need to be tolerant of loud, bad music. Especially if they decide to take up guitar playing.

Perhaps you were looking for the feeling you get in a music store and not the music itself; when you heard unpleasant music, you knew you wouldn't have that feeling, so you left - just like you'd've left if the grocery store didn't have the milk you wanted.

  2. Intolerence is on a broad spectrum and0 you shouldnt think because you sometimes are that it makes you a hypocrit. For example, intolerance of murder is different to intolerance of someone who stops you from having a nice long shower....because they want one! And isnt getting old great?
I wish i knew then what i know now! ;)

  5. Well, the world spins around anyways, eh?
I'm getting old for sure... heard Def Leppard promos the other day, and was reliving old happy times when the neighbor's kid said "This is like ancient stuff! How come you're listening to it!?!"

Yup, it's abt aging, and there ain't no paradox there. :)

PS: Hope things are good for you. Yesterday, I realized my hairline has receded by a good inch in the last month itself! The barber had a great time telling me how bad it could get. (pps: he's bald already!)
